Middle School – Social Studies

History topics studied in middle school social studies classes include United States history, New Mexico history, Ancient Civilizations, along with Western Hemisphere andEastern Hemisphere geography. Our pursuit of knowledge involves students reading and writing, but also digging deeper into the causes and effects of history. We have lively discussions and compete in Jeopardy games. We listen to historical music, produce in-depth projects and Powerpoint presentations, create art, visit museums, conduct polls, research historical topics, compete in the Geography Bee, participate in the Daughters of the American Revolution essay contest, sponsor an international fair, look at current events and discover much about the world around us!
